New teeth! Oh, the drama!

This week has been a time for teeth. It started with two front nubby bumps in the mouth of Sydney Jane Gibb. Her 7 month mouth has been the spot for many toys and chomped up book ends. This Thursday the 17th, the teeth made their mark and came through the surface. Needless to say, she is up frequently through the night trying to keep those little babies making their way for further use. This added to her new scoot-crawl are just telling her family, she is really growing up fast. On the flip side, Phoebe Sue started the week with two wobbly front teeth. She lost the first on Saturday evening just before a trip to Provo. She is very happy to have had the tooth fairy visit her with a whole dollar at her Grandparents house in Woodland Hills. She has since lost two more teeth and all she wants for Christmas are her two front teeth!

Abigail gets baptized!

On September 29, 2007 Abigail Gibb was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Kaysville, Utah. It was a joint service with a member of her primary class, Ashley Forbush. Abigail is the daughter of Spencer and Julie Gibb. She is sister to Phoebe Sue and Sydney Jane. Lavada Jane McMahan, Abigail's grandmother, played the piano and brought a wonderful spirit through music. The group sang about trying to be like Jesus. Sister Amy Hulse spoke about baptism. She reminded both girls of the covenants they were making and reminded them of Jesus' baptism. Abigail was baptized by her father, Spencer Boyd Gibb. Randal Boyd Gibb (grandfather) and Nathan Fullmer Gibb (Uncle) were witnesses of the baptism. The baptism was very special to the family. The veils of heaven where opened. Brother Steven Butler spoke about the Holy Ghost. Abigail was surrounded by Spencer Gibb, Steven Butler, Robert Wood, Randal Gibb, and Nathan Gibb to confirm her a member of th...

We made it to Utah!

We're finally here. We stayed at my parents home for almost two weeks before we could close on our new house (We are still trying to sell our home in Maryland). We're happy to be here. We live on a nice quiet street with tons of kids. Our girls love their new school and are all (including Julie) taking dance. I work for the LDS Church ( lds.org or mormon.org for those who don't know about the Church). Here are a few photos of the move, we'll try and get more of the house up soon.

We are selling our house!

Our 2007 Easter

Easter 2007 We had a nice Easter. Monday night's family home evening this week we dyed eggs and talked about the meaning of Easter the resurrection of Christ. Saturday we went to the church Easter egg hunt and Sunday we blessed Sydney and went to Sunday service where mom and dad bore their testimonies and Daddy and the girls had a very memorable Sharing time in Primary about the days before Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. We came home and had a ham dinner and enjoyed talking about our lovely day.

Sydney's Blessing Day

Sydney's Blessing Day Sydney Jane was blessed on Easter Sunday. Her daddy gave her a name and blessing and it was so sweet. She smiled while she was blessed. She looked so pretty in her new white dress. We are very aware of how sweet, gentle and sensitive our little girls are. We were reminded of that in Sydney's blessing. This Easter Sunday will always be unforgettable.

Phoebe's first lost tooth!

Phoebe's First Lost Tooth Phoebe lost her first tooth Sunday morning the 24th of March. She was so excited to share her new space with every one at church, especially when Sydney gets so much attention! The tooth fairy came and gave her one dollar. She lost her second tooth while eating her cereal the next morning and accidentally swallowed it!! Abby wrote a note to the tooth fairy to let her know where Phoebe's tooth went. "Dear Tooth Fairy, I am sorry to tell you. But Phoebe swollowed her second tooth. From Abby" She is now exploring with her tongue the new space and smiling for all to see her two lost teeth.

Abby's first art show.

Abby's first art show Abigail's favorite thing is art. She loves to draw, paste, create and look at art. She had her first project displayed at the Glen Burnie Library. We went to an open house where we met the art assistant who helped her create her "jungle" and one of her favorite teachers, Mrs. Johnson. Abby wants to be an art teacher some day. She is exploring all the avenues of art, and how you can use it. She loves to watch decorating shows in Home and Garden television.

Sydney's First "Tubby"

First Bath Well, another milestone. How cute they are when they have their first bath. Sydney held onto mommy's fingers so tight and looked up as if to say "Please don't let go, this is so weird." Daddy helped her towel off, and we cuddled her in our favorite duckie towel. Each of the girls has had thier first bath with the "DUCKIE TOWEL".
