Okay. Holy Hannah this week has been a trip! To start off this letter, I apologize for not sending a letter last week! It was a busy week and I needed the wind-down that day. I did write and will be sending that one shortly after this one. On that note, to this week!
I did get sick.... again. But! I rediscovered the sudafed I had stored in my bag. I definitely am thanking Heavenly Father right now for the blessing of remembering that I had that.
Work-wise things have been a bit slow. We had nobody new being taught or come to church, but we did have some exciting things happen. We did finally get in contact with a man named A*. He admitted that he had been avoiding us and was glad we were persistent. We had a great lesson and he was excited about prophets. We invited him to read and pray about the Book of Mormon and we meet with him next Saturday to follow up! We also got a call from N* recently where he said that he wanted to meet with us! We texted him back and are waiting to hear from him. Apparently a day earlier he ran into our ward mission leader at the gym and was talking to him and very excited to see him!
All in all, I've realized this week that the most important thing is progression. We are here on earth to get bodies and progress. That means we learn and grow, develop talents and gifts, and acquire faith. There is someone who doesn't want us to have that. That's Satan. He doesn't have a body so he can't grow, he can't progress! In 2 Nephi 2:18 it shares how that affects us. "And because he had fallen from heaven, and had become miserable forever, he sought also the misery of all mankind."
Satan doesn't want us to progress because he doesn't and he wants us to be miserable like him.
A lot of times the friends we are making on a mission don't want to progress and it's frustrating. But I realized that even if that just means I am the one moving forward, and that's okay!
I love this gospel and I love you all!
Talk to you next week!

Ps. Just one picture. Like I said I got sick and there's no taking pictures of that! 😄
