Let the Adventure Begin!!

We finally made it!  It's been a whirl-wind beginning to our adventure.  In four weeks we accepted a new job, decided to travel in a trailer for one year, found someone to care for our home, cleared and de-clutter a large home, found a trailer and truck, battened down the house, packed a trailer and headed to our first location in Salt Lake City.  Did I mention we also had a root canal, kidney stone, teeth pulled and two sets if braces removed (and that doesn't count the eye doctor visits.)  This is in no way to say our lives are busier than anyone else', but we didn't get to say good-bye to as many people as I wanted to.  There is no way we could have accomplished this without heavenly help.  Thanks to the many hands and helpers we had packing, moving, clearing, cleaning, playing with our little children and bringing food so we didn't eat cereal all month.  We have always tried to live our lives in a way to follow God's will, because he makes ou...

Blessings from Heaven

Today our sweet Lucy Marie was blessed.  She wore her sister Abigail's blessing dress because we couldn't find just the right one.  Abby was thrilled. My sister Jennifer was able to be there to represent my family and to share the special day with one of her namesakes.  She's so great, she has two neices with her middle name.   We had a great brunch after the blessing and Grandma and Grandpa Gibb, Uncle Ben, Aunt Stacey, Aunt Jennifer, and Aunt Mary Jeane came to join in the day.  It was a sweet, peaceful day and I know that we have been blessed so much to have Heavenly Father share four of His daughters with us.   Lucy was blessed to be healthy and strong and bring peace into our home.  That has already been the case.  Remember you sweet children today and the day you held them in your arms and loved them.  To all of my family who couldn't be there, we missed you and love you and felt the love of all who have come and g...

Californ- I-A!

Spencer and I had the opportunity to go to San Fransisco and surrounding area this last week. Spencer was able to attend the Google IO conference and I tagged along. Here is the run down of our trip. First, we flew into Oakland, the city Spencer was born, some 30 years ago...don't worry honey I'll save the exact age until your next birthday post!!  We grabbed the train to San Fransisco and stayed at the Westin Hotel in downtown San Fran.  I realized if I lived there I would be broke.  I saw how many people where begging for money and my heart broke. That was just on the way to the hotel.  I ended up giving this lady a dollar.  She just kept saying she just needed 75 cents for the subway.  Whether or not it was her line, she was very grateful. I was very grateful for a place to stay warm and comfortable and how spoiled I felt to stay in a nice hotel.  Room number was Spencer's birthday, no less.  It was really great, had soft beds, and pretty s...
