Lake Sawyer Summer Fun! Crater Lake, Oregon Potholes Reservoir- Playground at O'Sullivan's in Washington When I was a kid, I was able to be part of this program called "Summer Fun" at the grade school across the street from my house.  We played games, made crafts, had a sack lunch, all within the confines of a one block radius of my home environment.  What an adventure it was, but nothing like the adventure I am now living.   The only appropriate word is adventure.  When we shared our trip with friends, or even people we meet on the road, we receive many comments like: "FUN," or "WOW", or "You'll never forget that", or my recent favorite "When did you retire?"  That one met a few stifled giggles, as the man I was talking too had retired and couldn't imagine traveling while learning and earning on the road. One of the funnest things to me, being from Oregon, is to tell people where I was raised.  I loved Oregon and it holds a piece of my heart.  In describing where my (then small) town was located, I would reference its proximity to Salem or the coast, with which frequently was followed by a very puzzled look on peoples faces. "Oh,..." We made out way up the coast a bit to Neskowin last month.  It was beautiful after the first two days of fog and rain, but worth the wait.  Our site was at the Neskowin Creek RV Park.  So fun! We were right by the playground and main building and indoor pool...yes, the indoor heated pool and hot tub.  I had a good time that week doing water aerobics in the morning.  This place is unique with the RV park Models for rent and bigger groups, tent sites and plenty of rv sites and clean facilities.  We wish this could have been our home park for our membership, but we loved using the facility.  We decided to become part of the RPI group and Coast to Coast.  It allows us to go to sites that are part of the group and get nightly discounts and savings.  It's been so helpful to tick with our tight budget.  Our home park is in Georgia, so we may have to visit. :).
